Gov. Francis Nwifuru
Ebonyi State Government has said as soon as it completes the construction of the 3.2 kilometre runway for Wilberforce Chuba Okadigbo International Airport, it will float an airline.
Commissioner for Aviation and Transport Technology, Dr Ngozi Obichukwu, stated this while fielding questions from journalists after inspecting the airport at Onueke.
She commended Governor Francis Nwifuru, his predecessor, David Umahi, the engineers on site and monitoring heads of department for their cooperation.
The commissioner noted that Nwifuru kept to his promise of fixing the runway, as he committed to finishing the runway in record time.
The Guardian observed that the contractors that won the bid have been working even on Sundays to meet the deadline.
She said: If you do not blow your trumpet, another person will blow it wrongly. We are here as a team to tell you what our dear governor is doing on the runway of the Wilberforce Chuba Okadigbo Airport.
