Yet-to-be ascertained number of people are currently trapped in the rubble of a building which collapsed in the Kuntau area of Gwale Local Government Area of Kano State.
Sources said at least eleven persons are trapped under the rubble, mostly workers.
The exact cause of the building collapse is not yet known, prompting local authorities to initiate a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Excavation is currently ongoing while some corpses have been recovered.
Emergency response teams from both the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, and the State Fire Service swiftly mobilized to the scene, launching efforts to extricate those trapped within.
Amidst the chaos and urgency, two individuals have been successfully rescued from the wreckage and promptly transported to nearby medical facilities for urgent treatment.
