Meeting convened by the national chairman of the ruling All progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje with aggrieved aspirants that contested the last Saturday governorship primary in Ondo state ended in deadlock.

Recall that the outcome of the primary election elicited criticism from some of the aspirants who alleged that the exercise was conducted in breach of laid down rules and regulations.

APC’s deputy national publicity secretary, Duro Meseko who spoke on the outcome of the closed door parley maintained that there is no division among chieftains of the party in Ondo state.

He disclosed that it was agreed that that is the need for the party to continue dialogue with all the aspirants individually and collectively aimed at having a common ground ahead of the governorship poll in November this year.

He also stated that Governor Lucky Aidatiwa was prevailed upon to ensure an inclusive governance in the state by involving all the aggrieved aspirants.

Meseko was flanked by four of the aspirants – Prof Francis Faduyile, Akinfolarin Samuel, Morayo Lebi and Garvey Iyanjan who appear to be in full support of the reconciliatory effort of the party.
