The EFCC Director of Public Affairs, Wilson Uwujaren, who received the protest letter on behalf of the Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, assured the protesters that the commission would pursue corruption cases to a logical conclusion.

Some protesters on Friday stormed the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Abuja, asking the commission to reopen the investigations of a former Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle.

The EFCC Director of Public Affairs, Wilson Uwujaren, who received the protest letter on behalf of the Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, assured the protesters that the commission would pursue corruption cases to a logical conclusion.

Olukoyedes announced determination to revisit the alleged fraud case came as a Zamfara State-based pressure group, Zamfara Alternative Forum, protested to the anti-graft commissions headquarters in Abuja, demanding a revisit of the fraud allegation against the minister.

Recall that the EFCC started an investigation on the now Defence Ministers alleged corruption, award of phantom contracts and diversion of over N70 billion under the leadership of the former Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa.
