Nigerian Police Arrest Adamawa Resident For Defiling One-Year-Old Daughter

The spokesperson for the Adamawa State Police Command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the incident to SaharaReporters on Saturday.

 

One Idi Adamu, 30 years old, has been arrested by the Nigerian police for allegedly defiling his one-year-old step-daughter in Adamawa State. 

 

Adamu, a barber, reportedly committed the sacrilege on April 30, 2024 at his residence in Wuro-Ardo in the Mubi North Local Government Area, according to a police report.

 

The spokesperson for the Adamawa State Police Command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the incident to SaharaReporters on Saturday.

 

He said, "The mother left the kid in the care of the father to pick some items at a shopping mall. She returned, found the kid bleeding; she took her to a hospital and a case of sexual assault was established.

 

"Thereafter, she reported to the police and we arrested him. Investigation is ongoing after which he would be charged to court to face the consequences of his action."
