Nigerian Movie Producers Association Suspends Adanma Luke, Begins Investigation Into Actor, Junior Pope''s Death

John Paul popularly called Junior Pope, an actor, died in a boat accident during a trip for a movie shoot.

The Association of Movie Producers (AMP) on Wednesday suspended one of its members, Adanma Luke following the boat mishap that claimed five lives, a week ago during her movie shoot. 

 

SaharaReporters reported last Wednesday that John Paul popularly called Junior Pope, an actor, died in a boat accident during a trip for a movie shoot.

 

His family officially reacted to the sudden death of the actor.

 

According to the family in a statement issued on Sunday, the circumstances surrounding his death were wholly avoidable.

 

AMP has set up a nine-member committee to investigate the circumstances surrounding the murders of Junior Pope and other individuals, according to a statement released by the group and signed by its national president, Queen Blessing Ebigieson.

 

The statement also added that Adanma has been advised to suspend all work pending the submission of the investigations report and the final decision is taken.

 

AMP also sympathised with the bereaved families who lost their loved ones as a result of the boat mishap.

 

The statement reads in part: Following this tragic incident, AMP has set up a nine-man committee to investigate all activities that led to the death of these practitioners on the set of the movie, Another side of Life!

 

Meanwhile, the producer, Adamma Luke, is hereby advised to suspend all work pending on the submission of the investigations report, and the final decision is taken.
