Legendary Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, is backing the team to “glide through” to the Champions League semi-finals when they play Bayern Munich in their quarter-final second leg.

The tie is perfectly poised following a 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium last week.

The Gunners are looking to reach the last four of the competition for the first time since 2009.

Wenger believes his former club can take advantage of Bayern’s inconsistency under Thomas Tuchel.

He said on beIN SPORTS: “Arsenal against Bayern Munich is a 50-50 game.

“Bayern have recently been vulnerable at home in the Bundesliga, they lost to Dortmund in a very important game so they will not be 100% confident.

“I still think Arsenal might just glide through against Bayern.”
