BBNaija reality star Nina Ivy has taken to social media to celebrate her son Denzel’s 4th birthday, sharing a heartfelt post detailing the challenges they faced during his birth and infancy.

In an Instagram post, the former Big Brother Naija housemate revealed the harrowing ordeal she endured, including being in a coma for two weeks following Denzel’s premature birth and her battle with COVID-19 during the lockdown period.

Nina recounted how Denzel was born prematurely at just 27 weeks, weighing a mere 2 pounds.

She revealed that both she and her son faced life-threatening situations, with Denzel spending four months in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) while Nina fought for her life on life support machines, including ECMO and a ventilator.

Despite the grim prognosis from doctors, including the prediction that Denzel may never walk, Nina refused to lose hope.

She turned to prayer and unwavering faith, believing in the power of divine intervention.

Miraculously, both Nina and Denzel defied the odds, with Nina waking from her coma to learn that her son had survived.

In her emotional post, Nina expressed gratitude for Denzel’s health and resilience.
