Bayern Munich playmaker, Jamal Musiala, has insisted he is not trying to be the next Lionel Messi.
According to the 21-year-old, that would be an impossible mission.
Musiala is widely regarded as one of the hottest prospects in world football.
The Germany international has been tipped to fight for the Ballon d’Or award in the future like Messi has done in the past.
Musiala was asked about comparisons with Messi in an interview with Marca.
He replied: I don’t know, I don’t think I can compare myself at all with Messi and that is almost an impossible mission.
“I think comparing myself to Leo or any other player is in vain. I take my profession year by year and I continue working to try to be better and win titles for my team. Only then will they arrive safely.
