Over the past 12 years, the NEPL/Seplat Energy Joint Venture has championed the Eye Can See initiative, a commendable effort that has significantly impacted the lives of thousands of individuals living in communities where the Joint Venture operates by restoring eyesight and enhancing their overall quality of life.

This initiative, which comes at no cost to the beneficiaries, has seen remarkable success with over 96,000 eye treatments administered, including over 4,000 eye surgeries, and the distribution of more than 45,000 prescription glasses.

The ongoing 2024 edition of the initiative, which kicked-off at the Oba of Benin Palace in Benin City, Edo State, is set to mark another milestone in its ongoing mission. This years edition aims to screen 6,000 individuals, conduct 350 surgeries, and distribute 5,000 reading glasses across some communities in Edo and Delta states. This ambitious undertaking underscores the ongoing commitment of the NEPL/Seplat Energy Joint Venture to reach more people and make a tangible difference in their lives.
