Paris Saint-Germain star, Ousmane Dembele has explained why his team defeated Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg tie on Tuesday.
Goals from Dembele, Vitinha and Kylian Mbappe gave the French Ligue 1 side a 4-1victory over Barcelona in Spain.
PSG have now booked their place in the Champions League semi-final where they will face Dortmund, thanks to a 6-4 aggregate win, having played 3-2 in the last-8 first leg tie against Barca.
Speaking to Canal+ after PSG’s win, Dembele said: Everyone believed (we could qualify), even if we lost the first leg 3-2. We didnt give up, we knew we were going to score goals here. A big shift from the whole team.
“We worked the entire week, tactically, with the coach. His tactics were perfect.
“Even though we conceded the first goal, we didnt let our heads drop. We continued to believe.
