Nigerian Bureau, NSIB Begins Probe Of Dana Airplane Which Skid Off Runway In Lagos

According to a statement by the management of the airline on Tuesday, the plane flew into Lagos from the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja.

The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has begun an investigation into how a commercial aircraft belonging to Nigerian airline company, Dana Air on Tuesday morning skidded off the runway at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos State.

A photograph of the aircraft obtained by SaharaReporters on Tuesday captured the moment after the aircraft skidded off the runway.

It was also gathered that although there was panic, the passengers were evacuated safely and no casualty was recorded from the incident.

Meanwhile, Mrs Wunmi Oladeji, Director, Public Affairs, NSIB, on Tuesday noted that the agency had begun a probe of the incident.

She said, Our investigators are currently on the site of the incident. They are investigating it. We will rely on their report to give the next update.
