Rangers head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, can’t hide his frustration following his side’s elimination from the President Federation Cup.

The Flying Antelopes lost 6-5 on penalties to Kano Pillars in the Round of 64.

The defeat ended Rangers’ ambition of winning the double this season.

The Coal City club will now shift their attention to the Nigeria Premier Football League where they currently occupy top spot.

“That is football for you. It happens sometimes. It is painful. A first-time exit in the very first round of the competition for us,” Ilechukwu told reporters.

“We are not happy but there is nothing we can do. I wish Kano Pillars the best of luck. We now have to focus on the league as we appeal to our fans for the disappointing performance.”
