Abdullahi Biffo says making a return to the dugout in the Nigeria Premier Football League is a thing of joy for him.
Biffo was officially announced as the new head coach of Sporting Lagos on Friday.
The former Kwara United coach said the passion shown by the club convinced him to return to coaching in the NPFL.
Im very proud to be the head coach at this great club,” he stated on the club’s website.
“Ive been following Sporting Lagos for a while [I used to attend the games at Teslim], and I love everything the Club is doing.
“I didnt think I would ever return to coaching in Nigeria but this passion the owner of the Club has shown is very convincing. It is obvious that this is a long-term project with big plans and Im happy to be a part of it.
“The club has really quality players, some of whom Ive worked with before, and Im looking forward to continuing the work of making this a Club Lagos is proud of.
“I cant wait to be in front of the fans Ive heard so much about and make them proud.
Biffo will take charge of his first game when Sporting Lagos battle with Katsina United at the Muhammed Dikko Stadium on Sunday.
