Nigerian content creator, Timi Agbaje, has given a breakdown explanation as to why crossdresser, Bobrisky was jailed but socialite, Cubana Chief Priest got bail despite being charged with the same crime.

Last week, a Federal High Court in Lagos state sentenced Bobrisky to six months in prison without the option of fine, after he pleaded guilty to abusing the Naira.

However, on Wednesday April 17, the same court granted Cubana Chief Priest bail in the sum of N10 million after he pleaded not guilty to Naira abuse.

Timi Agbaje, who holds a degree in Law said the reason for the courts different verdicts was that Bobrisky had pleaded guilty whereas Cubana Chief Priest didnt.

According to him, in Bobriskys case, two likely options were possible as a result of his plea, which was either he pays a fine or get jailed.

But Cubana Chief Priest on the other hand was granted bail, because under the law after he pleaded not guilty, no case exists, until the EFCC is able to provide beyond reasonable doubt that he abused the Nigerian currency.

Timi Agbaje further said it can be argued by the defence counsel that the money being sprayed in the video which the EFCC possesses isnt the real legal tender.
