Former Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly Rt Honourable Godfrey Dikeocha has reacted to the recent resignation of former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and former governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha, from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Dikeocha, a former founding member of the PDP and current member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), said he was not surprised by Ihedioha’s resignation, citing the protracted battle he had with some party leaders.

Dikeocha claimed he was frustrated out of the PDP by Ihedioha and other prominent figures who he said fought back against him, leading to his current situation.

“Whatever goes around, comes around,” Dikeocha said. “He has been fed with his recipe, for us he surreptitiously displaced and chased away with his minions who follow him around.”

He continued, “Ihedioha didn’t know who was Mbutu ward chairman in 1998/99 because he wasn’t in the equation before he arrived from Abuja with his false claims and hoodwinked late Dr. Alex Obi and my then Governor, that Atiku was this and that.”

Dikeocha claimed this led to the then Governor losing control of the PDP. He concluded, “He has been repaid in his own coins with his court jesters.”
