Boiler room heats up Lagos

It was a feast of eclectic Afro fusion last Saturday at the Boiler Room set in Lagos as thousands of music lovers converged for the globally-renowned live streamed party.

The sold-out event, which was organised in partnership with Native Records, saw the likes of Odunsi, Bloody Civilian, Odumodublvck, Dope Caesar, and many more, perform to the delight of fans.

The Lagos edition is part of their worldwide tour, which would take electronic music promoters and livestreamers across 25 cities with Lagos being the only African stop. This would be the second time the show would be held in Lagos, with 2016 being their vibrant debut in the African entertainment capital.

Another key highlight of the event was the second stage which hosted another lengthy performance from Lagos-based electronic music mavericks, Sweat It Out. The electronic dance music scene is steadily fostering its branches across the pop-driven mainstream scene, garnering more attention with its array of African Electronic music mixes.

Also, award-winning rapper Odumodublvck premiered his new song dubbed, Technician, which features Chocolate City maverick Blaqbonez.

The crowd-controlling premiere ushered in the climax of the Boiler Room experience, giving fans a deeper feel of the urban fusion-focused music shows more popular in Western climes.
