Some Federal establishments and financial institution have indicated their willingness to attend the Port Harcourt Tech Expo 2024 scheduled to hold from April 24 to April 26, 2024 in the Rivers State capital.

 

This was disclosed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tech Nexus Limited, Belema George,
the organizer of Port Harcourt Tech Expo 2024 on Friday.

 

According to George, the organisations and ministers that would converge in Port Harcourt for the technology exposition included the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Bank of Industry, Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Minister of Youth Development, Director General of National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

George added that the Port Harcourt Tech Expo 2024 will be the most significant tech event in the South-South region, promising that it would be a catalyst for innovation and technological advancement in the Niger Delta region.

He added that the organizer (Tech Nexus Limited), in collaboration with the NDDC, aims to energize the tech ecosystem in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and the entire Niger Delta.

 

“With the NDDC as the main sponsor, the event underscores the commitment to fostering technological growth and development in the region.

The Tech Nexus boss disclosed that notable speakers from various corners of the tech world have prepared to grace the event and share their insights and expertise with participants.

“Among the notable speakers are Dr. Maurice Dawson from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, USA, Dr. Tombari Sibe of Digital Footprints Ltd, Gbolabo Awelewa of Cybervent Ltd., Dr. Jimson Olufuye of the Africa ICT Alliance (AfICTA), Ross Alabo George of Proxy Logics Ltd., Eddy Datubo of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Naona Usoroh of the National Agricultural Development Fund, and many other speakers.

“The Hon. Minister for Communication, Innovation and Digital Economy, the Hon. Minister for Youth Development, the Director General of the National Information Technology Department Agency (NITDA) and the CEO of the Bank of Industry will be at the event.
