Amid recent fluctuations in fuel availability nationwide, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has urged citizens and motorists to refrain from panic buying.

The caution was contained in a statement by the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd, Olufemi Soneye, who stated that in filling stations monitored across states, including Lagos and the FCT, queues had thinned out, noting that it’s a development that would keep improving daily in other states.

The company added that it had over 1.5 billion litres of stock of PMS, which guarantees 30 days of sufficiency.

“The NNPC Ltd is also collaborating with relevant downstream agencies, such as the Nigeran Midstream & Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), labour unions in the sector and security operatives to address hoarding and other unwholesome practices,” it stated.
