Osun State Police Command has paraded five suspects for allegedly killing a 45-year-old woman, Usman Aminat, and mixing her intestine with the intestines of a dog, pig, and goat.

The spokesperson of the police in Osun, Yemisi Opalola, who paraded the suspects at the police headquarters, Osogbo, on Friday, explained that the victim went to one Onifade Oyekanmi (30) popularly called Ifa, at Iyana Ajia, Ibadan, and since then been declared missing.

Opalola said the arrest of Oyekanmi led to the arrest of Oyebode Olalekan (40), Ifayemi Ojeleke (32), Jamiu Lasisi (40), and Aminat Abiola (27), who helped Lasisi, her neighbour, to conceal his owner of the powder substance suspected to be burnt human parts.

“They all confessed to the individual roles they played. Investigation reveals that they all conspired to use the victim for money rituals.

“Thereafter, search warrants were executed in the houses and premises of the suspects where the above-mentioned exhibits were recovered. The fifth suspect named Abiola Aminat ‘f’ who is a neighbour to the fourth suspect assisted him in concealing his share of the powder substance suspected to be burnt human parts. She was later granted administrative bail as she was nursing a baby of about four months.

“The first and second suspects confessed to have conspired and strangled the victim to death in the house of the 1st suspect. The third suspect was invited and dismembered (butchered) the deceased body. Thereafter, the intestine (victim) was mixed with that of the dog, pig, goat, and other herbs in a black clay pot, burnt to black powder, and shared among the above first four suspects.

“Onifade stated to have burnt the two Cell phones belonging to the deceased after killing her to evade being traced and the victim’s purse containing ATM and money were taken away by one of the suspects at large,” Opalola said.
