The lawmaker representing Abakaliki North Constituency in Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Hon Victor Nwoke has dumped the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) for the All Progressives Congress(APC).

The lawmaker joined APC with his supporters. He said the intractable crises in PDP forced him out of the party.

According to him, PDP has two chairmen in Ebonyi while the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike has hijacked it at the national level.

“Even the case they were asked to withdraw from court is still there. And the state, we have two chairmen; we have Augustine Nwazunku and Onyema Nwele.

“There is crisis everywhere in the party which is why I decided to go to where there is peace so that I can provide democracy dividends to the people I am representing.

“Note, the provision of the Nigeria constitution as amended stipulates that if the party that gives you a ticket is in crisis, you can join another party that has peace”, he stated.

Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, the state APC chairman who received the lawmaker into the party, assured him of a level playing ground, stressing that APC in the state aims to better the lives of the people and provide development.
