The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has once again called on motorists to refrain from panic buying of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, saying that there is sufficient supply of the product across the country.

According to NNPC, lines have since thinned out at filling stations they monitored across multiple states, including Lagos and Abuja, adding that the development is expected to continue improving daily in other states.

It made the call in a statement issued by its Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, on Tuesday.

“The NNPC Ltd is also collaborating with relevant downstream agencies, such as the Nigeran Midstream & Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), labour unions in the sector and security operatives to address hoarding and other unwholesome practices.” the statement read.
