Skytrax, a UK-based airline and airport review and ranking site, has announced ranking of Best African Airport in 2024.
The rankings were announced at the 25th anniversary of the World Airport Awards in Frankfurt, Germany.
In a surprising turn of events, Nigeria finds itself notably absent from the list.
Skytrax ranked the Cape Town International Airport in South Africa as the Best African Airport in 2024.
Data sourced from the airport review and ranking platform indicates that the survey spanned from August 2023 to March 2024, with participation from over 100 nationalities.
Following closely behind Cape Town International Airport was Durban King Shaka Airport, which serves Durban, also located in South Africa.
Ranking in the third position was another South African airport – the Johannesburg O. R. Tambo International Airport.
